WCF proudly joins the Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action ahead of COP26

As world leaders and key decision makers prepare to meet at COP26 in Glasgow this November, there are key breakthroughs that every major sector of the global economy must and will reach to accelerate the race to net-zero emissions.

This year, World Climate Foundation is hosting and engaging in a number of pivotal climate events in support of the Marrakech Partnership’s aim to implement the Paris Agreement. In doing so, we aim to enable collaboration between governments and the cities, regions, businesses and investors that must act on climate change.

World Climate Summit - The Investment COP

World Climate Summit is back for its 11th edition on November 7-8 at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow. It's the globally leading business forum alongside COP26. The Summit will convene on the leading cross-sector climate actors to foster public-private partnerships that can accelerate a rapid net-zero transition through scalable ambition loops.

This year’s Summit will have a key focus on adopting and sharing best practices and strategies for catalytic climate action. Based on the Marrakesh Partnership guidelines, the Summit will present discussions, keynotes and cases that take a systems approach based in science, combine sector pathways to foster sustainable business networks and drive exponential change.

Climate Investment Coalition

The Climate Investment Coalition is bringing transformational impact and commitments to COP26 from the most ambitious global investors - catalysing immediate and transparent climate investments by 2030.

Built out of the US$50 billion commitment to green investments made by Danish pension funds in 2019, the initiative intends to create a growing international wave of private climate investments that are tracked and reported on annually.

World Climate Foundation is pleased to be a founding member of the Climate Investment Coalition along with the Danish Government, the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) and Insurance & Pension Denmark.

World Biodiversity Summit

The final stop in World Climate Foundation’s Biodiversity roadmap will take place alongside COP26 on November 10 at 200 SVS Conference & Events in Glasgow.

The upcoming World Biodiversity Summit is uniquely poised to showcase global best practices for innovation, investments, public-private partnerships and collaboration to strengthen planetary health and prevent the ongoing destruction of biodiversity.

Join leading biodiversity, finance and climate leaders at this exciting one-day event!
